38th Annual International Conference on Global Health

The conference, which is hosted by the Global Health Council, will focus on long-term treatment for chronic disease by balancing community-based personal interaction with hospital- or clinic-based care and the use of information technologies (in both the developed and developing world). It will also address the need for access to inexpensive treatments. The theme also encompasses the issues surrounding urbanization and malnutrition, such as violence, childhood obesity, and the spread of infectious diseases as well as the importance of balancing health needs of an aging population with the needs of young people who make up the majority of the working population.
