Tazirwa Chipeta, MS

Ms. Chipeta is the director of clinical services at the Family Planning Association of Malawi (FPAM), a member association of the International Planned Parenthood Federation. FPAM provides youth-friendly sexual and reproductive health (SRH) information, education and behaviour change communication materials, as well as HIV and STI testing, prevention and care services, family planning, and other health services.  She is also a country coordinator for Geneva Foundation for Medical Education and Research, which aims to promote and develop health education and research programs.

Before joining FPAM, Ms. Chipeta worked with Banja La Mtsogolo, an SRH service provider and member of Marie Stopes International. As a social franchise coordinator, she helped bring subsidized health services to hard-to-reach areas and offered providers technical advice to ensure quality care. 

Ms. Chipeta and received her bachelor of science degree in nursing and master’s degree in reproductive health, with a focus on adolescent health, from the University of Malawi.
