Mampedi Bogoshi, MBChB
Dr. Bogoshi directs IPM’s medical affairs, including developing and leading national-level medical affairs strategies for IPM’s work, building partnerships with health ministries, policymakers, regulatory agencies, health providers and other key stakeholders, and providing technical and clinical expertise.
Dr. Bogoshi has over 15 years of leadership experience at global pharmaceutical companies and clinical research organizations. Most recently, she worked at Gilead Sciences as its senior director for public health and medical affairs for sub-Saharan Africa, where she was responsible for medical education, clinical support, and investigator research and compliance support for a wide range of products, including daily oral PrEP and other HIV/AIDS products.
Prior to Gilead, Dr. Bogoshi held senior medical leadership roles at Pfizer, where she focused on the company’s pain management, central nervous system and inflammation management portfolios and was a core member of the Africa-Middle East inflammation team; and at Merck, Sharp & Dohme, where she managed women’s health, pain and inflammation, endocrine and diabetes, and oncology products. Dr. Bogoshi was previously the site coordinator for the Aurum Institute for Health Research, managing multiple HIV and TB trials and conducting HIV vaccine research as a sub-investigator.
Dr. Bogoshi holds a medical degree (MBChB) from the University of Cape Town.
